THGI Professional Development Scholarship Program

At The Healing Group Institute, we believe that when healthcare providers feel more confident, supported, and equipped in the areas of sexual and reproductive health, the individuals and communities they serve thrive. Too often, professionals enter the field without the training or mentorship they need to address these essential aspects of human experience. Our goal is to reduce the barriers—financial, systemic, and educational—that keep committed providers from gaining the skills that truly make a difference.

The THGI Professional Development Scholarship Program was created to invest in early- to mid-career professionals who want to grow their comfort and competency in sexual and reproductive health and bring that learning back to their clients, programs, and communities. We hold a deep belief that strengthening the people who shape care—therapists, social workers, counselors, nurse practitioners—creates ripple effects far beyond any single session or classroom.

Each year, four scholars are selected and paired with one of THGI’s core departments—Knowledge Hall, the Embodied Spirit Collective, the Research Enthusiast Society, or the Sexuality Scholars Salon. While each scholarship carries its own identity, all scholars participate in the same year-long learning experience designed to build foundational knowledge, reflective capacity, and applied practice skills.

The THGI Scholars Program reflects our commitment to learning, professional growth, and community well-being. We believe that investing in providers’ sexual and reproductive health knowledge creates ripple effects that improve the health and well-being of entire communities.
